I wonder if, by now, you hate me because all I talk about is my original fiction and random goings on in my life. To be honest, the most awesome fanfiction I could read would be of something of mine, but I mean, that would involve getting published and anyways -- not important. I am writing this kind of late because, for the most part, NaNoWriMo ate my life when overloading my classes this semester didn't. I have a bit of spare time before I head off to work though so I thought I'd dabble.

As to the requests I made:

HIMYM is/was my favorite sitcom on the air at the moment. I say was because after Robin and Barney broke up I got mad at the writers. Really mad, and haven't been able to enjoy the show since. I am a huge B/R person and have been probably since the first season when they hung out that first time and played Battleship. I was so excited for this season simply because they were going to be together -- but its Barney and Robin, so its not like they would have a normal relationship. Then the writers disappointed me. They struggled with keeping Barney, Barney (which is understandable) but the thing that bothered me most was the way they treated Robin's character. She became so malleable in her characterization that anything could have happened and there was no telling what she would have done.

Anyways, so the point being, I love Barney and Robin's interactions and how they are so perfect for one another because they want the same things, and often act in similar ways and in many ways I think that they could end up together for the rest of their lives -- not married, but together in a caring, loving relationship that doesn't compromise either of their characters.

In terms of writing it can be anything I suppose. I would rather not get angst from them, because they're both so stoically characterized, but if you can make it work then I'm fine with that. If you don't really like B/R and clicked 'Any' then I wouldn't mind a filler piece from before season 5 of Barney's longing for her. Alternatively, anything where they just interact -- doesn't have to be romantic in the slightest.

I really don't want to read Robin/Ted, or Lilly and Marshall breaking up or anything like that -- though if you wanna do a L/M fight that's fine, if you aren't in a B/R mood.

Moving on to Dollhouse.

Oh Dollhouse, Fox broke my heart again when you got cancelled. I would sit and watch and think "You can't be cancelled" at the end of every show. But no, ratings weren't high enough for the network. Stupid network. Anyways, I requested Topher, just by himself, but really there will need to be interactions clearly. I really love Topher and think he's a fascinating character. The whole episode of "Belonging" made me love Topher even more because he really did want to help -- complicated by the fact that it was just cool. And then the end, where Pryia asks him to keep the secret so she won't even know, my heart broke a little. Similarly the episode where he imprints her as his friend, just broke my heart all the time.

Anyways, I love Topher's interactions with Boyd and Adelle. I love "Epitaph One" where Adelle is caring for him when he's slipped over the edge of sanity. I would love anything about how Topher gets to where he is, what his childhood was like (though preferably not too angsty). Slice of life or filler would be great for this. I love Topher, so while I know there must be people out there who think he's a jerk without feeling, I would hope that you aren't one of them and if you are, you don't have to write for this fandom ^^;.

If all else fails, I love Adelle as well, and the complicated way she does things, and how we don't really know what has made her into what she is -- what sins she has committed to be put into the Dollhouse. Also, Boyd and Saunders/Whiskey. I like their interaction, and the way that they spend time with one another.

And on to the last one. Young Wizards, oh Young Wizards.

I love these books. Love them so much that I might have some of it memorized. I am so impatient for the next one to come out so I can read it. Anyways, I requested Dairine and Roshaun mostly because they are the only romantic couple that I like (I hate, hate, hate Kit/Nita, just saying) (oh wait that's a lie, I like Tom/Carl) and Dairine breaks my heart every time I read the end of Wizards at War without saying or doing much. Their interaction, the way they act around one another and the lack of surety that Roshaun produces in Dairine makes me love them.

I can go for anything with them. A filler bit, something after the last book, a between the two books that Roshaun has appeared in. Anything really. Feel free to lay on the angst -- its easy with them. Not only in the "Roshaun has vanished and Dairine is looking for him and may be not able to accept that he is dead" but in the "We're different species and can't technically do anything with one another" and lets not even get into the Prince/King thing. So angst is entirely possible for them. Or you know, happy stuff while they don't think about it.

If you don't like them, I would probably do something with the group, rather then trying to pair other people. As I said, I hate Kit and Nita together as a romantic couple, but I love their friendship, I love how they think about one another. I just don't think that its love, or anything romantic between them. Lets see. I am pretty much fine with anything else you would like to write -- though I think I'd rather it be in the later books because I don't like 4 and 5 as much as I like the rest. I love the world they exist in though, and the sense that there are other things going on beyond Nita and Kit.

So yes.

I am pretty easy to please even if you don't like anything I suggested. I don't get squicked easily though brother/sister incest does that to me. Don't really see that happening. I'm into action/adventure kind of stuff, running, jumping, climbing up trees, putting on make up while you're up there kind of stuff. If you make me laugh I will love you. If not, I will probably still love you. I am not an especially romantic person -- in the sense that the romcom situations don't really interest me -- except sometimes in fic.

So yes, hope this was useful. If not, then sorry. ^^;
