Dec. 3rd, 2006 10:03 amEw. His Dark Materials is becoming a movie. Well, the Golden Compass at least. I don't like it. Nicole Kidman makes a good Mrs. Coulter, but on the same token, I saw a picture of her from the movie (waaaay in advance, but yeah) and they are screwing with how pretty Nicole Kidman can be. Add on to that that Lyra doesn't look at all like Lyra should and I will be all happy and stuff. NOT.
Urgh. However, the person they are getting to play Serafina looks pretty good for her and Daniel Craig is also perfect for Lord Asriel.
Still. How can they turn one of my favorite books into a movie? I don't want them too!!! Its going to turn out like Matilda or HARRY POTTER (ew hate the movies hate the movies) and I will cry, alot.
Unless, of course, it turns out like Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, which was good. I can't speak for LotR because I read the books after the movie, but tLtWatW was good.
