Reply and I'll give you a letter. Find five songs that start with that letter and post them to your journal.
chibi_care gave me the letter R. Yay for orgininality Meng. -.-
1. Recessional - Vienna Teng
fluorescent announcements beat their wings overhead: passengers missing, we're looking for you
One of the most beautiful songs from Vienna. I didn't like Dreaming through the Noise as much as Waking Hour, but it comes to a tie between Warm Strangers and Dreaming through the Noise, partly because of this song.
2. Rest Stop - Matchbox Twenty
I could barely see her face
But she knew all the words that I never had said
She knew the crumpled-up promise of this
Broken down man - and as I opened up the door
Sweetly sad, and probably my second favorite song by them, the first being Bed of Lies.
3. Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straits
All I do is kiss you through the bars of a rhyme
Juliet I'd do the stars with you any time
Need I explain why?
4. Running Up that Hill - Placebo
And if I only could,
Make a deal with God,
And get him to swap our places
Wikipeedia says that this cover of a Kate Bush song is more "downbeat". I really like this song, mostly because of their use of interesting music in the background. ;)
5. Round Here - Counting Crows
Step out the front door like a ghost
Into the fog where no one notices
The contrast of white on white
So beautiful. I love this song...
In other news, just as I finished this meme, my dad came home to tell me that my great-grandmother died today. She was 98 years old.
